What online mastering is

Online mastering is mastering done remotely: the last step before releasing your music. It optimizes loudness, corrects tonal balance and brings coherence across tracks.

The goal is for your track to sound at a commercial level and stay competitive on any streaming platform.

Why EBG Sound

An engineer makes the decisions, not an AI. Automated mastering like LANDR or MasteringBOX doesn't understand the musical intention of your track.

Gear: Tube Tech CL1B, Manley Reference, high-quality converters, FabFilter Pro-L 2, iZotope Ozone, Waves and SSL.

Experience: 200+ tracks mastered, 5.0 on Google and 5+ years. Learn more on the about me page.

Streaming optimization

Each platform has a different loudness target. If you exceed those values, the platforms normalize down and you lose impact.

Spotify: -14 LUFS, true peak -1 dB
Apple Music: -16 LUFS
YouTube: -14 LUFS
Tidal: -14 LUFS
SoundCloud: -14 LUFS

How it works

  1. 1

    Send

You send me the mix in 24-bit WAV, with no limiter on the master bus.

  2. 2

    Analysis and mastering

I analyze the track and apply mastering: loudness, tonal balance and dynamics.

  3. 3

    Revision

You listen to the result and give me feedback.

  4. 4

    Delivery

You receive the final master in 24-bit WAV and MP3, ready to upload to DistroKid or TuneCore.

Formats to send

WAV or AIFF, 24-bit, with headroom of -6 to -3 dBFS, no limiter on the master bus and no fades.

Stem mastering

It means mastering groups of tracks (drums, bass, vocals, instruments) separately. It gives more control and is ideal for mixes that need balance corrections.
